Electrostatic spray systems are a proven technology used extensively in automotive painting. It allows for an even coat of a solution to be applied in hard to reach areas and even areas which are not in direct line-of-sight to the spray nozzle. This technology has long since been adopted into the sanitization industry as a tool to break the chain of pathogen mobility.
Most surfaces in a facility are naturally negatively charged. Our electrostatic spray systems positively charge micro-droplets of sanitizing solution as they are sprayed, resulting in an ultra-strong attraction to all surrounding surfaces for truly uniform coverage throughout the targeted area. All vertical, horizontal and three-dimensional surfaces in the targeted area are fully sanitized, with no areas being missed by the sanitizing spray.
Studies are now reporting that SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) can survive on surfaces for several days or even weeks, and can be hidden or impossible to reach when using standard spray and wipe methods. However, because the electrostatically-applied micro-droplets are super-attracted to surfaces, they are able to fully coat all three-dimensional surfaces. Including all nooks and crannies with our sanitizing solution.
This means following our team’s visit, you can feel confident that your facility is completely sanitized and safe. Having the proper equipment, such as electrostatic sprayers, is a critical element to an effective sanitization program.
Servicing our clients’ venues while working in potentially hazardous conditions is a skill that SDI has mastered over the decades. From servicing advanced kitchen exhaust systems, to facility restoration, and now to protecting ourselves from SARS-CoV-2 during service, SDI is fully invested in making sure our technicians are highly trained and equipped with the industry’s most-cutting edge equipment to ensure we are ready to deal with any situation.
Safety is a key theme at SDI, comprehensive training is a crucial strategy to get the job done effectively and without risk of cross-contamination. While we may use non-toxic solutions for sanitizing customer facilities, our technicians must always be protected from any present health risks while on-site. Given each assignment may have different needs, we provide our technicians with protective garments, eye protection, and proper respiratory protection designed to ensure your location is completed safely and our technicians continue to stay healthy.
Our teams of skilled technicians are equipped with highly effective electric and electrostatic foggers as well as OSHA approved PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Many sanitization service providers will require your building to be evacuated during sanitization. With our sanitizing solution’s second-to-none safety rating, we are able to fully sanitize your facility even while staff and patrons are present.
In this line of service, it is not easy for customers to identify which areas were effectively sanitized. This leaves a large degree of trust in a service provider’s integrity.
Founded in 1990, SDI has grown to be one of the largest commercial preventative maintenance companies in the western United States. Through these years, our vast industry knowledge and experience has allowed us to consistently provide clients with highly specialized services founded in principles held close at the heart of quality and integrity.
Shannon Diversified, Inc. is a fully certified, licensed and bonded company.
At SDI we are among the first companies to offer a 100% Non-toxic sanitization service using a solution which uniquely meets the highest levels of EPA standards for killing even the most resistant viruses and other microbes, and is qualified for use against SARS-CoV-2. Our solution is one of the only available sanitizing products to meet EPA’s Emerging Viral Pathogen, while being completely non-toxic to humans and animals. This solution exhibits 300 times greater sanitizing power than bleach, is as safe as filtered drinking water and leaves absolutely no residue.
So while some disinfecting solutions may mention effectiveness against ‘human coronavirus’, they are likely not EPA qualified for use against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
A message from the EPA:
“EPA’s emerging viral pathogen guidance was triggered for SARS-CoV-2 on Jan. 29, 2020.” “Products with human coronavirus claims but not the emerging viral pathogen claim cannot make the same marketing claims…”
Multiple studies by independent labs have demonstrated the effectiveness of our sanitizing solution:
Human Coronavirus: Virucidal Efficacy of a disinfectant for use on inanimate environmental surfaces.
Small Non-Enveloped Virus: Virucidal Efficacy of a disinfectant for use on inanimate environmental surfaces utilizing feline calicivirus as a surrogate virus for Norovirus.
