The Grout Saturation Point
Quarry tile is the industry standard for commercial kitchens due to its durability. However, the grout lines act as porous gutters, aggressively absorbing a nightly slurry of animal fats, cooking oils, and acidic cleaning chemicals.
Once the grout reaches its saturation point, the grease has nowhere to go but up, coating the tile surface in an invisible, microscopic layer of frictionless oil. This creates a massive physical liability for your staff and a breeding ground for pests.
High-Pressure Rotational Extraction
Mopping simply smears the grease and pushes it deeper into the grout. SDI deploys specialized, contained high-pressure rotational spinners connected to truck-mounted water heaters operating at 240°F. We violently emulsify the embedded grease and instantly extract it into our vacuum recovery systems, leaving the floor completely dry and stripped to the bare aggregate.
